The Journal of
Worship Resources . . .
is a quarterly publication designed to assist worship
leaders in their weekly preparation of congregational worship. Each
issue includes three
sets of liturgical resources composed by different
authors for each Sunday. These resources include: Call to Worship, Opening
Prayer, Confession,
Assurance of Pardon, Offering Meditation, Prayer
of Dedication, Invitation to Communion, and Benediction. The readings
follow the Revised Common
Lectionary. Also included in each issue are Children’s
Sermons based on the Gospel lection and Suggested Hymns for the Old
Testament, Epistle
and Gospel readings.
This journal is designed with a unique purpose—to
be a resource for pastors by pastors. We recognize
the rich resource congregational
pastors are to the life of Christ’s church. We
also recognize that there
are few avenues through which congregational pastors
can share their gifts beyond their local setting.
For over 14 years, The Journal
of Worship Resources has been a vehicle through
which their gifts could be shared with others.
The Journal of Worship Resources is an excellent aid for lay leaders
who may find themselves responsible for putting together worship services
while their congregation is between pastors. |
